Mission

The Navy’s warfighting Fleets and Sailors deserve world-class legal support. The AJAG 07 ensures the JAG Corps successfully enables the Navy’s warfighting advantage by aligning legal education, training, and professional development activities to Fleet and Joint Force requirements.

Functions

The AJAG 07 exercises primary responsibility for the strategic planning, development, oversight, and assessment of legal education, training, and professional development. In this capacity, the AJAG 07 supervises the OJAG division directors responsible for Individual Learning and Development; Training Integration and Evaluation; Organizational Learning and Strategy; and the Staff Judge Advocate Counsel Assistance Program. Based in Washington, D.C., the AJAG 07 manages offices and personnel in D.C. and at Naval Station Newport, R.I.; Naval Station Norfolk, Va.; and Naval Base San Diego, Calif.
