Georgia

- Atlanta Legal Aid Society helps people who cannot afford an attorney with free civil legal services. If you live in Fulton, Clayton, Cobb, Gwinnett, or DeKalb County, fill out Atlanta Legal Aid’s online intake application or call (404) 524-5811 to see if you qualify. If over 60, call the Georgia Senior Legal Aid at (404) 389-9992.

- Georgia Legal Services Program®, an independent, non-profit organization, provides self-help services and free legal services to low-income people in civil matters in the 154 Georgia counties outside the five (5) county Atlanta metropolitan area.
Louisiana
- Southeast Louisiana Legal Services (SLLS) provides free, civil legal aid to low-income people throughout southeast Louisiana’s 22 parishes through seven offices located in Baton Rouge, Covington, Gretna, Hahnville, Hammond, Houma, and New Orleans.
- The Pro Bono Project helps low-income families, individuals, and the elderly resolve civil legal issues ranging from family law matters like five (5) divorces, custody agreements, name changes, and adoptions to property questions related to successions and estate planning, proof of title, contractor litigation, consumer complaints and debt issues. (Does not assist with criminal matters, legal emergencies, personal injury, contested custody, or contested successions.) The Pro Bono Project provides legal services for residents in the following parishes: Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, and Washington.
Mississippi
- MSLegalServices.org is a guide to free civil legal services for low-income persons and seniors in Mississippi, including basic eligibility and contact information.
- The Mississippi Center for Legal Services provides free civil legal assistance to eligible poor persons within 43 counties in South Mississippi. In order to qualify, most programs require a household income below 125% of the federal poverty level.
- The Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project (MVLP) provides free legal assistance with civil legal matters throughout the state of Mississippi. Offers direct legal assistance to clients through volunteer attorneys.
Tennessee

- A statewide online free legal advice clinic for low-income Tennesseans who might otherwise fall through the cracks of receiving legal assistance. Qualifying users can post questions about their civil legal needs and receive basic legal information and advice from attorneys. The goals of this project are to increase access to justice for low-income Tennesseans, particularly in rural areas, and to remove barriers to attorneys providing pro bono services.
- Help4TN legal hotline: 1-844-Help4TN (1-844-435-7486)
- A statewide free phone line offering legal information and referrals to low-income Tennesseans. Help4TN will assist Tennesseans in finding resources to deal with civil legal issues. Those who cannot afford a lawyer may call the line and leave a message any time. Calls will be returned by a licensed Tennessee lawyer.

- A website for low-income Texans with free information, and family law, protective order, and other self-help legal forms managed by Texas Legal Services Center.
- Texas Free Legal Answers (https://texas.freelegalanswers.org/)
- The site allows individuals who meet certain financial guidelines and who need basic legal guidance to log on, post questions, and have them answered by volunteer attorneys across the state. Individuals with complex legal matters will be referred to legal aid agencies for more in-depth assistance.
